Giving

We are as passionate about helping the poorest of the poor as we are about the perfect bounce pass or slam dunk! Although all basketball programs will be conducted in the US through 2011, charitable donations will take place worldwide. Faith Hoops will work closely with Christian churches and schools to select on-going charities and missions for donations.

In 2010, Faith Hoops will be working with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Santa Cruz County (santacruzmentor.org). Big Brothers Big Sisters assists children and youth achieve their highest potential by providing quality mentoring relationships. Faith Hoops will work closely with Big Brothers Big Sisters to help find matches in Santa Cruz County. For more information on Big Brothers Big Sisters go www.santacruzmentor.org. 

Faith Hoops is also sponsoring a child through Compassion International in the country of Ecuador. Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Compassion helps more than 1 million children in 25 countries. By sponsoring a child we enable them to participate in a church-based program that offers life-changing benefits, including help with learning development, health care, social-skills development and Christian training.
